Saudi Arabia has announced the establishment of a new truck unloading area at Jeddah Islamic Port, covering an area of 1 million square meters. The new facility is designed to accommodate up to 40,000 trucks per day, significantly enhancing the port’s cargo handling capacity.
The project is expected to improve the efficiency of freight operations, reduce congestion, and accelerate the movement of goods across the Kingdom. It also supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy to strengthen its position as a leading global logistics hub by expanding modern transport and supply chain infrastructure.
The new logistics area will play an important role in facilitating trade, improving operational performance, and meeting the growing demand for cargo transportation through one of the Kingdom’s busiest seaports.
